Ministry Updates
God continues to provide ways for us to join Him in saturating our world with the good news of Jesus. We are particularly celebrating:
- FCA’s Revival Week. We are rejoicing with Andrew and Cat Slack, FCA regional director, and their Williamson Country FCA team after God moved during Revival Week in November. Students across 8 high school campuses were trained and mobilized, sharing the gospel with over 3000 students, seeing 500 students recommit their lives to Jesus and 150 decisions to trust Jesus for the eternal life. Tim loved playing a small advisory role and seeing what God did.
- Encouraging Gen Z Catalytic Leaders. Tim gets so much joy and hope for rising generations from the young leaders he has the opportunity to encourage and advise. Pictured above is a group of amazing leaders with RVVL ATX, a growing group committed to sharing the gospel among Gen Z in our city.
- Impactful Opportunities. We've had several opportunities to teach God’s word through sermons (Tim), a retreat (Cindy), and smaller gatherings. Plus, God provided many opportunities to coach, encourage, and learn from pastors and ministry leaders in Austin and across the nation.
- Our Annual Neighborhood Hallowiener. Over 100 friends and neighbors came together to enjoy hot dogs, sausage wraps, sweet treats, and each other through the evening. God provided beautiful weather and a great turnout this year. Tim and I, as well as our daughter Lady, have had opportunities to spend time with some of these friends since then to have great conversations about life and what matters.
- Disciple-making. Our most significant kingdom contribution (and personally most life-changing) is our “5, 3, 2 Gospel Disciple Life” disciple-making triads. Pastors, ministry wives, and laypeople are being discipled in a rapidly reproducible, simple, transformational way (Tim with 4 discipleship triads, Cindy with 2). Tim also coaches some disciple-makers outside of Austin in this same method. Our own relationship with Jesus has become more vibrant, and our gospel conversations have dramatically increased. Living on adventure with Jesus and seeing Him work is a thrill!
On a Personal Note
- Kate is engaged to Rudy. We are happy to announce that Rudy Bahjat proposed to Kate this past weekend. Rudy lives, working in investment banking, in Abu Dhabi where Kate lives; however, he grew up and his family lives in Lebanon. We have been inspired and encouraged learning about his culture and his spiritual heritage as an Orthodox Christian. He has so many qualities we love and admire, and we are excited for their future together.
- Cindy’s knee surgery. We’d love your prayers for Cindy’s knee replacement surgery on December 23! Yikes on the timing, but the doc says she’ll be good to go for Israel, God willing!
